MED Anywhere is a Virtual Service Learning Trip that allows students to engage in meaningful learning and volunteering from the comfort of their home or dorm. Through a series of interactive Zoom workshops, participants explore key topics like global health, poverty, and inequality. The program offers more than a typical virtual class. Students experience immersive sessions that highlight the social, economic, and historical factors impacting underserved communities. They also learn how MEDLIFE collaborates with these communities to create sustainable change. A key highlight of MED Anywhere is the opportunity to connect directly with local professionals in healthcare, education, and development, as well as community leaders. These virtual Q&A sessions and roundtable discussions provide unique insight and foster meaningful exchange.

I had an amazing time with MEDLIFE in Costa Rica. I met people that will be in my life forever, made unforgettable memories, worked with extraordinary coordinators, and gained so much hands on experience from medical professionals. 

I had a great time on the trip with MedLife.  The food was great and the people and connections made will last a lifetime. Even the lessons and service will be memorable and will be cherished. 

I had the most Amazing time of my life. The leaders and doctors and all the people were so warm and inspiring and showed great motive and purpose.

The trip was organized really well and was setup so that we learned a lot. The stations all ran smoothly and we were able to help 100+ people.

Amazing! The trip was so insightful, and everything was so well-planned out by MEDLIFE. Alfredo made it ESPECIALLY special for our group; he was so kind, helpful, and understanding to all of us throughout the week. But overall, it was amazing! 

It was so much fun! It’s a wonderful, unique experience. I am definitely going to recommend it to others. The reality tour was so impactful, and it really set the scene for the rest of the trip. The guidance we received was awesome.

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip with MEDLIFE. I met a great group of people, learned very valuable lessons about medicine and empathy, and got the opportunity to be immersed in a beautiful culture. I really enjoyed the clinicals and the reality tour/project day. The hotel and food was also great, and I had no issues with these things. 

I had such a great time! This was my 3rd SLT and definitely my favorite! Our group leaders Karo and Mari were the BEST! 

The trip was really eye opening and educational. I learned a lot about Peruvian daily life, and how it's impacted by the climate and wealth disparities. Great experience!

I had an amazing time! from my trip leaders, Galdys and Katherin, to the communities we were able to help, and to the freedom we had to explore the city and culture, it was an amazing way to spend my spring break. I will definitely be doing this again next year!

I had a wonderful time getting to know and see various communities in Ecuador. It was a privilege getting to help serve such communities alongside other great volunteers.

We had an amazing experience. Etiel and Victor were both truly incredible group leaders! They made us feel very welcome and helped us navigate everything with a smile! Working with the doctors and staff in the clinics was very impactful as was the reality day. Our excursion day was also unforgettable! Medlife is a very well run organization doing good in the world! So fortunate to have been a part of it!!

The people I met on this trip were all wonderful. The food was great, and the leaders were attentive to our well-being.

I had lots of fun, especially with the clinic days, on this trip! It was a very unique and rewarding experience and I’d go back.

I had such an amazing experience on my MEDLIFE service learning trip to Costa Rica! The organization of the trip was one of the things that stood out most to me—everything was well-planned, structured, and ran smoothly, which made it easy to fully focus on the experience and the impact we were making.

One small suggestion I have is that it would be great if Spanish-speaking volunteers were split up across the rotating groups. I think that would help maximize communication with patients and improve the overall clinic experience for everyone involved.

I absolutely loved where we stayed—the pods at Pupa House were such a unique and comfortable experience. The hostel had such a welcoming atmosphere, and Norman, the manager, truly made it unforgettable. He was incredibly kind and brought so much energy and positivity to our stay.

I also can’t say enough good things about our trip leaders, Emmanuel and Cris. They were supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. They really helped create such a positive and meaningful environment throughout the trip.

Overall, this was an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone considering MEDLIFE. It was impactful, well-organized, and so much fun all at the same time!

We had a great time. Wonderful people, delicious food and comfortable accommodation. Thank you for this fantastic experience! Mauricio and Fabio were amazing and a huge part pf why the trip was life changing. I wish them the best and I will be doing another SLT next year with MEDLIFE. 

My son had an absolute blast.  They were two days late due to flight issues but from the time they got there to the time they left, they had a phenomenal time and learned so much.  Also made some great friends for life.  Highly recommended!

I thought my experience with MEDLIFE was great. Our guides Mauricio and Alfredo did an excellent job explaining the history of Peru and the importance of different aspects of the MEDLIFE movement. I thought the clinic days and the service project day went well.

I'm so glad I went on this trip. I got so much hands on experience, clinical shadowing opportunities, made so many new friends, explored new places, and tried so many new foods. The trip is what you make out of it. Make sure to use your free time wisely!!! Go out there and EXPLORE!!! TRY NEW THINGS!!!

I had the best time with MEDlife in Peru. My guides, Mauricio and Alfredo, were so much help throughout the trip and so welcoming. I thought that this was very organized and everything ran as smoothly as possible. I hope to go on many more MEDlife trips

I had a great time working in the clinics and helping out the communities. The living accommodations were up to standards and the food, culture, and city around were great. 

An absolute pleasure, much credit to Emannuel who organized this trip to the best of his ability and Norman for being an excellent manager and guidance person. 

It was great! I highly recommend this to anyone. I came alone not knowing anyone and I made friends and gained lots of clinical experience.

The MedLife trip was honestly one of the most eye opening experiences I’ve had. I got to learn about the culture and history, but what stuck with me most was understanding why some communities are in the situations they are in. It made everything feel more real and not just something you see from the outside. I also really appreciated how the focus wasn’t just on helping in the moment but on sustainability and making sure communities can keep growing after we leave. It changed how I think about service and what it actually means to make an impact.


This trip was more than I could've ever imagined. I truly enjoyed every single thing we did, and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to participate in the MEDLIFE Movement. I learned so much about the life of people in these communities in Lima and healthcare in Peru. Mauricio did such a good job at explaining the history and events that result in these living situations and how MEDLIFE is working with the communities to help. I loved being able to interact with all of the patients and the medical staff during the clinics. 

A beautiful experience led by the best people! I greatly enjoyed this SLT to Lima, Peru, it was more than I could have ever asked for! As someone that went on an SLT with MEDLIFE last year to another country, it was really cool to be able to have a completely different experience in a new place while still having the same mission. I greatly encourage anyone considering going on a Service Learning Trip to go!

The course commences with a comprehensive introduction, followed by an in-depth exploration of the history and culture of the Andean world. Participants will also examine the economic landscape of Cusco to better understand the region’s contemporary challenges and opportunities. The program concludes with a round table discussion, providing participants the opportunity to engage directly with local perspectives and deepen their understanding through meaningful dialogue.
